Thought that might be the case, was just looking for a delicate way to put it in case they were for once (on a reptile site) pets. Wink

Blimey Laughing We just had our first successful litter or about 10 or so and I was pleased, thats put our girls efforts to shame I'll be showing her that pic so she pulls her socks up Laughing Laughing Laughing xxxxxxxxxxxx

That is a hugmungous litter Shocked How many on average do you get per litter?

Do you keep the adults in groups or pairs? It's just I was thinking of setting up a rat colony but best to know how many they produce before I start.

small confession, Laughing that was actually from 4 females Wink but on average I get 8-10 from group housed females and 14-22 from females that birth in seperate cages.

There was approx 56 in that cage above (average of 14) so it was still a great litter. Click on my main website, go to the care and breeding section, then Rodent Breeding Systems, plenty of info there Wink

Laughing I knew that really and thats one amazing cage, ours live in a convertsed cabinet nothing as posh as that Very Happy Rats are a very cool animal the parents are pets but the babies are dinner I'm afraid xxxxxx
