eeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
hi, no its not a sig but good idea! thats my snake... meet Monts
anyway back to the original question if i may
the reason i ask is because i may be looking to buy a dom or co-dom female morph to breed with my normal male in a few years time. after a first clutch i would like to hang on to one of the siblings to breed with the mum and go for a super morph.
dont get me wrong i wouldnt do it for money just the fact that im fascinated by all aspects of royals and that would be the ultimate experience.
regards, Mike... _________________

if your going to do that - in my own honest opinion id go with a pastel - nice and cheap to start out with - very very pretty and the super pastels are something to take your breath away lol
just my own honest opinion
and with dominant morphs there are no supers, only co dom morphs have supers

hi Erik, i agree i do like super pastels but blue lucys are much more my cup of tea. theres something about white snakes that is so pretty. the thing is with super pastels (correct me if im wrong) and pastels in general is that they darken a bit as time goes on. the pics i've seen of hatchlings though is very tempting
i've not got money growing the garden but i am willing to spend about 800 quid for the right morph so at least i get a bit of choice right?
another thing i was wondering is that are prices lower when they are hatchlings or doesnt that make a difference?
thanks, Mike.. _________________

i think people will be prepared to pay more for a female thats ready to breed, so they are probably slightly lower for hatchlings. _________________

last i checked £800 would get you a pastel or an albino but albinos are recessive
they do darken but the super pastels (as i remember) have high blushing and don't darken much as they age - perhaps as light as a normal pastel but I'm not entirely sure
blue eyed leuccys are stunning i agree
but i have no idea what the genetics on that are I've been told its Mojave x Mojave and lesser platty x Mojave so i haven't the foggiest - i might prefer snows (albino x axanthic = dh snow x dh snow = 25% snow 25% albino 25% axanthic & 25% normal (if I'm correct))
anyways good luck _________________ Reptiles by Erik Paterson

Monty is a cracking looking Royal, very nice. Can I suggest that you send for a set of sexing probes, look at LOTS of sites that show how to probe, get a friend to hold Monty and GENTLY probe him/her.
I was probing a couple of my Royals last week and could feel that one was very tense. If I'd continued to probe it could have caused injury, or given the result of female even if it was in fact male, because it was clenching. Sooooo, waited for a moment whilst gently stroking the snake until I felt it relax - probed it and it turned out to be a male.
He had been sold to me in a group of four, three girls and a boy, so was not surprised at the result whilst hoping that it just might be a girl..... Sold him on now as I am collecting girls this year. |

i think you are right in getting someone who has probed in the past to do it. it can cause injury if done wrong. _________________
