Decided to change over my nesting boxes and nest substrate 4 weeks ago, the old boxes were grey plastic with a peat / sand mix.

I changed over to clear boxes (so I can monitor any activity with digging in the nest box) and sand as it holds tunneling and moisture far better.

I was rewarded within a week of the new boxes with glauerti eggs (as posted in another thread).

Anyway, 4 weeks after swapping the boxes over I decided to have a clear up in the garden (where I had put all the old boxes), I emptied each box out to reuse the peat sand mix for something else, on the last box as I tipped the mix out I found 3 eggs!!! All 3 looked great despite being in a bone dry mix AND outside in UK weather for 4 weeks (had had a week of dull cooler weather too!)

I have no idea what the eggs are from, either Red ackies, Glauerti or Tristis....I doubt if they will hatch but they are still looking good so who knows Laughing

Well, all the best of luck with them. That would be very cool to have them hatch. It would be quite a suprise I'd imagine. Good luck.

Cheers,

Adrian

Fingers crossed for you, hope it all turns out ok. We once threw out 10 fossilised beardie eggs during a substrate change.
