Yeah guys, both are very impressive. There is hardly any combos with the Fire in yet, I think we have a really exciting time ahead as more develop. Just wanted to show that there was so much more to the Fire than the BEL. It was the sole reason I decided to get involved in the project, the potential. Hopefully I might have some Fire Pastels produced next Summer but still early days. Thanks for your feedback and comments.

Thanks Dave. I too like the Blue Eyed but if you ever see then side by side you can see the difference other than the eyes. The Black Eyed produces a pure white, like the pied. It is a cleaner colour. Now that there are unblemished Black Eyed being produced it is a real cracker. The other thing is that there is only one way to produce these BELs where as the Blue there is SO MANY ways. I'm not taking anything away from the Blue, its STUNNING but I just think this is a little more special, both visually and in terms of producing one. Also there are few genes out there that get so much better with age. MOST snakes get duller with age, the Fire gene brightens with age so a combo with it in will just keep getting better and better. The gene also cleans any pattern and intensifies any colour. Like Kara (NERD) posted, this really is the "BLING" gene. Best thing is we haven't even started to explore its potential. Wink

Hi Paul, I never knew the potential of the Fire gene so what you're saying is really interesting. I will have to do a bit more research and no doubt will then end up spending a shed lot more money!!! Very Happy

Cheers

Hi Dave, there is so little out there to research. That is the whole excitement with these guys, we just don't know yet. They follow the Fire trait in the Retics, by cleaning and intensifying. I have a Super Dwarf Retic and the colours and pattern are the cleanest and most intense. I love this gene. I knew that there was only one gene that I wanted first, the Fire. People just see the BEL and nothing else. The Fire is also beautiful in its own right. I am hoping to put loads of combos together in the next season or two and hopefully really see what we are dealing with. Everyone moans about stunning hatchling that loose their colour and edge as they get older, imagine a more stunning one that starts like that and gets more beautiful every shed. All being well I will be selling some early next year for very fair prices. Wink

Hi Jase, the Fires are a lot lighter, almost silvery yellow as adults. I have put a couple of pictures below. They also have a ghost like appearance. Side by side they are quite different. I have some Fire boys mating some normal girls. I fed my boys yesterday and giving them another rest day (they have been so busy, lucky sods!!) but I will put them back in to the girls tomorrow, when I do I will post you a couple of pictures of them together so you can really see the difference.
