I got fly mesh from my local hardware store, it's plasticy soft mesh, easy to staple gun in place and not expensive. Doesn't block your view too much either! |

Thanks I have been to both of those shops and they were both very helpful.
I bought some mesh from my local garden centre and have cut a hole in the top and covered it with the mesh. Everything else is in place now, i think i am ready to pick up my chameleon sometime next week. What does everyone think? Is there anything you can see wrong with it?

Thanks. I just hope I have got it all right.
I should be collecting him on Sunday.
Just one other question, I have read a bit about it but everyone seems to have different opinions on it.
What supplements do you all dust the food with and how often? |

Thanks Karen, does anyone else have any advice on the supplements side of things?
Also do you think there is any way that a chameleon would be able to get anywhere near the bulb and burn itself, i think i have positioned it so it cant but i know they are good climbers just not sure how good yet.
You should be able to tell the bulbs position from my previous photos. |

Hi mate.
What you could do is cut a large hole in the top on one side.size of hole approx 100mm. you can use a jig saw, or to get a nice clean round hole use a hole cutter which fits into a drill. fix ceramic bulb holder to an alluminium reflector & sit this on the top. my chams can bask right underneath without being able to touch it. |
