Hey, i have a d50 with a few different lens and its great, im not going to claim i know much about photography but im learning, and yesterday i got a sony ericson k550i, only cost £109 the camera on it is 2mp but it has a macro setting and a built it light (im not confusing words with flash, i mean a constant light) and it has produced some very good close up shot of the beardie in the viv which i couldnt/havnt gained yet from my slr.
I know phone cams have been mentioned but i havnt read properly, id have a look at those cybreshot cameras if you want a cheaper cam, or even the phones if you have an old one.
But im not knocking slrs in any way i love mine imo i have produced some excelent photos with it and im thinking of upgrading my body.

I do not appreciate that remark, is there any need to get cocky?
As i said in the post I'm not an expert at photography and that I'm learning! and that i simply haven't managed to take a picture i think is up to my standards in the animals vivarium with the d50.
Now i thought i would post my piece of advise on here for all to see and maybe to give who ever needs the help some ideas just like you have and quite a few other people. This is ment to be a friendly forum welcoming every one and then you are giving advice to one inexperienced photographer and mocking another one on the same topic.
I think you should think about what you say next time before you make a comment like that as it affects the forum and will pose a negative affect on people even if you didn't mean to be rude. |

I don't think eggman meant any offence at all mate..sometimes things just don't come across too well on forums. I think it was meant light heartedly. After all he does use a canon so isn't the best at expressing himself.. _________________
