Lol...lens can vary from £200 up to £5000 onwards..As for what you need I would say the Tamron 28-75 would be good or the sigma 24-70mm 2.8 both will let you focus fairly close and also good for general use...you can pick either up for just over £200... _________________

Do canon sponsor you?..lol..maybe its because the nikon comes out on top in nearly all 400d vs d80 reviews.. before you mention your dust cleaner, its not infailable and have heard its not much cop at all..couple of guys complaining about dust bunnies on their "dustfree" 400d on a forum I use..but as you say it would give you more money towards lenses and if you aren't tied to a brand is a big plus..By the way you will love the nifty fifty..its a great lens for the price.I'm going to get myself the 35mm f2 in a week or so its supposed to be as sharp if not more so..and it focuses very close indeed. _________________

well seeing as though your not heavily invested in decent glass get a d200...think of the speed! Must admit if I wasn't tied to nikon with my gear I would love a 1d...stonking camera.. _________________
