A few I took yesterday, some dying and some more alive. Ive gone for plenty of depth in these ones.

Now I know there isnt a great deal of detail in this one but I really like it.












And a couple more vibrant/alive ones

really like the 4th one but the others look a tad soft to me..??

They're supposed to Laughing I was going for a different style, rather than my usual low apertures. I might shoot the same flowers with low apertures to see how they look for contrast Wink

Your aperture will only affect how much depth of field you have..it has nothing to do with wether its sharp or soft Wink You could shoot a flower at f.1.4 or f40 but your focus point should be sharp its the surrounding area that it affects.

Thanks Stuart, you are quite right. I'm on a mission now, lol and have been out the back again trying to improve my focus, but get a nice depth of field. If there are any reasonable ones I will post them - without frames Laughing

Hows this Stuart? Im still aiming for a softer look, but have really concentrated on getting the focus correct. F5.6.
