Just wondering what every one uses to heat the room they keep their snakes in? I'm thinking of getting this:

Reckon it will be ok?

If I remember correctly it did give off a strange burning oil smell for a few days, so just be aware of that.

Last year, I partitioned part of my garage to make an 8x12 room. Heating was supplied by an Oil filled Radiator, that was on a thermostat and could be adjusted to give out 500w, 1kw or 2kw.
Over winter, I heated the room to a minimum 20c, and my electricity bill tripled!. Shocked
I have moved everything back indoors for now.
My biggest problem was a lack of insulation, but something else I noticed was that Oil filled Rads remove a lot moisture from the air, but the one I used has a small resevoir that puts moisture back into the air.
It may be useful if you have humid vivs. It was bought from Homebase for about £30.

To get the warm air circulating around the room, try pointing a cheap fan at the radiator, works wonders Laughing

That's one thing that a small shed has got going for it, heating it over winter hardly touched the electricity bill - insulation is the key!
