Just leave them in for a few days and see what happens or if you are desperate for them to eat mealworms then stop feeding all other foods to them for a week or two so they are hungry then try again.

My leos wont look at crickets or locusts ...... too lazy Very Happy ..... mealworms dont exactly run to get away do they Laughing

Crickets are a great staple so unless you're having problems with them you're probably better sticking to them.

Mealworms aren't as good for them as far as my understanding goes. If you want to give them variety of food try other kinds of crickets, locusts and for occasional treats waxworms.

Mealworms are also a great staple. Apparently the leopard geckos that obtained the highest longevity records were fed exclusively on mealworms for for the first few years of their lives Smile Lots of others have leopard geckos of a good age and also use mealworms as staple. I think they're great, very easy to gutload and very convenient to feed. l agree that variety is a good thing too though.

Like you, I was always a bit dubious of using mealworms a lot, I don't think there's any reason to be though

I think meal worms have got a bad rap from somewhere, I used roaches myself because its cheaper in the long run, however I will be feeding my hatchling leo's on mealies as they are just easier.

I think mealworms got their bad rap from the anonymous 'instant experts' that seem to have appeared like a bad rash on the forums all over the world Twisted Evil

Your not wrong mate. I think you should start (continue) on a crusade to destroy them and bring enlightenment to the common reptile owner. Very Happy

I think mealies are fine as a stable food source as long as you dust them with multivits.

Mine love em, they have a bad rep in the beardie world thats probably where the hostility has come from.
