I think she will come round if given the correct environment and enough time. One of me females recently died with egg complications, she was around the 44' mark and missing some tail, my smaller female is about 46' now and my male is about 48'.

You can really see on the pics the locality differences between the male and the females

Here are some old ish pics of them all.

ive just noticed that she is starting to shed and the bits that have came off are reveling a much brighter pattern ,her shedding is a bit flakey is there anything i can do to help ,ive just sprayed her but i cant think of anything else i dont want to remove her as shes still settling in,
is it true that males have a lump at the base of there tail and their bottom jaw is alot bigger than females

As far as the shedding goes i would just leave it. They never stop shedding! Just make sure you have good temp and humidity gradients. If you keep her on deep substrate it will be relatively high in her burrows (up to 90%) and fall as low as 30-40% under her basking spot.

If you post some pics of him/her i have my best go at sexing her and giving you some info on locality and sub species. Try and get some full body shots, tail base, and head. Thick lower jaws and tail bulges are a good indication of a male but this is not always that easy if you have no comparison.

Here is a pic of my males bulges taken by Carl (lophius) whop had my male before me.

Albigs, in fact most monitors, do not shed in big strips like tegues. I wouldnt worry too much about it.
