Great choice Tom, Trinkets are a great species. One thing I would reccomend with these is the addition of a humid hide otherwise you'll encounter problems with sloughing, a light spraying of the enclosure a couple of times a week is also beneficial. They also require a hot spot of 84F ... and lots of hides as they are a shy species. They have quite an impressive display when there aggitated and will 'S' up and gape showing the inside of there mouth which is black .. they don't attempt to bite though in my experience and out grow this by the time they are 10 months ... Depending what sex you buy will determine the overall size of the animal as males only grow to approx 3 feet, females on the other hand will get to approx 5 foot.
If your thinking of buying a pair for future breeding .. these guys will breed all year round, they don't require a hibernation and may produce anywhere from 3-6 clutches per year with an average clutch size of 4-6 eggs which hatch in approx 60-80 days @ 80-84F.
They are an interesting species and make wonderful captives .. I LOVE TRINKETS
Here's a few of my Guys.
