Looks about right to me, just compare the two pics and there is a marked difference in width at the tail base. I wouldn't put my nuts on the line about it but they look right to me. Confused

I'll be honest both my females have got fairly long tails. So if the snake is an adult generally the male wqill only be about 15inches at best so if its a fair bit bigger then its a female.

Thanks all
In the pic of them together I was told the smaller one was a late 06 and female and teh bigger one a early 06 male.
I have probed the smaller one and it did not go in far, will probe the bigger one when it has shed its skin to give me a comparison.
It was a pain to probe, wriggling like a worm. Probing royals is a lot easier though just as nerve racking.

Has anyone probed hoggies?
I have probed them both and the probe did not go in much, they both went in about the same distance.
So i think they are both females, but could be both males Embarassed !!!!!
Any advice on probing hoggies appreciated.

Same as most colubrids; females = 3-8 scale count and males = 9

Or there abouts.
