Whoopeeeeeee, I am picking up a mate for my albino Cali king girl this weekend. He is a lavender Cali, just over a year old now. Photos of the two of them shown below. Please can I ask you all, if I brumate them this winter, should he be old enough to do the required task next year ? She is plenty old enough at about 5 years old. PLUS please, what colours am I likely to get from the mating? No idea of any hidden hets.
I rehomed her from a family who loved her lots, but she kept biting them. No wonder, she was much too thin but is now a much better weight and has not yet bitten me or attempted to. |

Hiya, what a laugh I am sooooo looking forward to picking the wee lad up. His new home will be sorted out, in fact Boadicea the female will be going into a new larger viv., and he will then go into her spring-cleaned viv. What do you think of his Bride then ? |

Lovely couple of snakes there.
The female is gorgeous, and the male is very similar colours to my Lavender Albino Florida Kings (I have a pair) although mine have a little more yellow on them.
Good luck with the breeding. Will be nice to see what babies you get. |

Thankyou for all of your kind remarks. I have done some homework, written some emails, and apparently the babies will all be normal looking but het for albino and lavender. If I then breed brother to sister there will be an assortment of albino / lavender / normal and a 1/16 chance of a lavender albino...!! Not quite sure what that looks like, but hey, let's give it a go. |
