There are a fair few shops locally, as it goes Essex is quite a "hot spot" for reptiles and inverts.
But for various reasons, we arn't worried about the competition, and believe that we can be better that the other shops. Only time will tell.
The reason for this is that all of us working in the shop, are primarily reptile keepers, and we have been to all of the shops locally, and know their Pros', and Cons'. buy copying the good points, and being vigilant to the bad we feel we can give a better service.
Wiltons, Cold Blooded, Noah's' Ark, Jungle Phase, (another one in Rainham, cant remember name), and smooth and scaly, are all fairly close to us. (in Essex)
Edit: thanks for the luck. |

I'm sorry?
I don't mean to seem rude, or boastful, but what i meant in the last post, is that i go into a shop, as we all do, and think "that's nice", "ooh i want that" "its very clean in here" etc, and i like that. In other times, i will think "that smells", "is that dead", "nice place, but i wouldn't pay that if it were gold plated", "that lump of turd has been there for a week"
by looking at it through "buyers eyes" then we can remain good.
We will have our good points, and our bad, as we all will, but if we think anything we are going to do something about it. And more importantly, we will do something if a customer notices something (that we miss, we're only human), and the animals are number1, customers2, and anything else is number 3.
