I take it you still have some laying, so lets just hope things improve for you. Its a shame really because these gecko's make great captives and would be nice to have more CB around. _________________ www.Reptilebreeder.co.uk

Well, one month on I'm now past the 60 day mark of my first clutch of the season. The are due any day now (double hets for white amel & white stripe).
I've had only one of the 5 eggs fail so far, and that one that did was an infertile mini-egg the size of a kidney bean.
All is going well down this end, how is everyone else's eggs fairing? _________________

I still have them hatching here, strangely i still have some laying still also, last year they stopped around February. Ive put it down to the fact that this year im feeding more pinks to the females and so the females have good weight on them throught there laying period. _________________ www.Reptilebreeder.co.uk

Success!!
This dryer-medium and damp peat-pot cover method is coming up trumps!
Both of the eggs from the clutch laid on the 25th Feb have just hatched out, the other two eggs in the 'bator are looking sweet and grand. The only egg I've lost so far was the funny infertile kidney-bean egg.

So far this year i have had a total of 16 eggs with 8 hatching so far and 4 more to go (which look good so far )
I am using very deep vermiculite (4-5 in) so that the top layers are almost dry but bottom layer are very damp and the humidity is 95-100%
This is my females first year of breeding so i expected a few duds anyway _________________ People laugh at me because I am different

i must admit i find it hard to hatch fat tails than other lizards i am breeding. i only use about 1" worth of vermiculite. i have had around 13 fat tails all hets and amels. but i have lost around 3/4 eggs which are really wired cus they usually die after the other egg has hatched!! and i open them up and find a complete baby instead strange.gutting!! i still have more eggs in incubator and saying i have tried breeding fats tails for a numer of years and only hatched the odd couple, it has been a great year so far. i finally think i have cracked it!!! (touch wood). so my 1.3 have had a great year bless them.
