Hiya,

I'm Vee. 27/F.

I don't as yet have any reptiles but am currently researching like mad and hope soon to be the proud owner of a tortoise (type yet undecided - still researching!).

On my quest for knowledge, I've started to realise just how fascinating and beautiful reptiles are - something which I'd never noticed before due to my Mum being a snake phobic!

Anyway, I'm hoping to learn lots and will be in all parts of the forum, nosing around, not just the tortoise part because I think I may be becoming addicted to reptiles of all types. I was trying to convince my husband that a snake would be a wonderful pet but he's determined we should get a tortoise... I'm thinking that perhaps I should remind him my Mum is petrified of snakes... that might sway things a bit! Laughing Wink

Hi Vee, welcome.

Yep reptiles are amazing and overlooked by many people. They make extremely suitable pets and are overall very easy to care for.

Best of luck persuading your husband Laughing

Wow that was a quick reply! lol.

Convincing my husband makes me sound so under the thumb, doesn't it?... he wishes!! Laughing

I was just about to add that we currently have 5 cats (soon to be 3 as 2 kittens are going to leave for new homes in 4 weeks.) and we've kept tropical fish, mice, gerbils in the past and we have a horse! Phew!

Oh yes, and we have 2 daughters... they're the most difficult to tame, of course. Wink
