Cheers Rick. Will make arrangements with you. For the moment I have a temporary tank I just bought. I have some trailing ivy. Is this a safe plant to put in there with her?

Yes does sound like stress to me also,i would first split them up,the females viv should be "packed" with plants so she is totally out of view,Get some avipro and mix this in with her water and provide 2 Heavy mistings a day,the avipro will get her appitite back,i would also give her smaller food items as she will be able to manage them better,
Try not to look at her for a few weeks(very hard i know) dont bother her too much,a peek now and then is all that is needed. It can take over a week for the chameleon to recover from a stress related problem.
In general Females are more prone to stress then males,i try not to bother my females, thats why you dont see many pics of my girls i just let them be,i also provide lots more cover in my females vivs, than that of a male,And care for them in a very different why to the males.
This applies to chameleons across the range(if your thinkin he keeps panthers, carpets are different) i have also been a keeper of carpets and did find with my pair that when kept together the male took control of things and the female would close her eyes just the block the guy out.
I hope you get things sorted it does not sound too bad and im sure rick will sort you out Very Happy
Keep us posted!!

Thanks for the sound advice. She is separate from Albert at the moment, in heavy cover. I may be returning her to Rick tomorrow so he can keep an eye on her for a while. Will see how she gets on over the next twelve hours or so.

Cheers..

Sadly this little one has died, presumably stress related. The conditions were good for the chams, just too much stress it seems. On the bright side, Albert is doing really well and eating me out of pocket! I've had a bad day. Just thought I'd post to say thanks for the support Rick, Karen and Redbelly. You've all been great, and I value this forum because of you chaps, you're a credit to the hobby!

Joe

Aw man dont feel too bad about this fluffin, not alot could have been one the move probably was too much for the chameleon to handle,Im sure im not alone in saying this but "you win some and lose some" its all experiance mate Wink in my early days of cham keeping i lost a few and even when you get a good group of babies a few are slower and weaker than the others and seem to lag and die, natural selection i guess
Don't feel to bad about this mate Wink

Yep as discussed on PM's and as others have said chin up. Chams can be hard work at times and certainly unpredictable.
