My leopard gecko Treackle hasnt eaten her locusts for nearly a week. shes not losing weight and shes looking for waxworms. Im presuming that shes got hooked on waxworms and she dont even have interest in anything else.
what should i do? _________________ Dante (rankins dragon)

i'm sure that if you keep wax worms out of her diet for a while she'll soon eat whats available!

yep stop feeding her the waxies n try her on different foods like crickets, locusts, mealworms eventualy she'll get hungry and want to eat what ever is there as a rule dont feed waxworms too much only as a treat because they are quite fatty.

The first thing to remember so you don't worry or feel bad is that your gecko can go for weeks without food. So don't feel bad about not feeding.
Offer no food at all for a week (no matter how tempted you are!) and offer one locust, if it is eaten leave it at that and offer another one in a few days, do this untill you have re-established normal feeding patterns.
If it is ignored, remove it and wait another week.
It might not be anything to do with the wax worms either. Sometimes geckos just don't fancy eating. My male didnt eat for nearly two months, then just decided he was hungry again. His tail never got thin so I never worried. _________________ Kind Regards,
