Thanks for the kind words.

It was going to go inside my ackies viv but i have started to build them a new enclosure and the rockwall is too small for it, so im not to sure at the moment.

I used builders foam to create the bumpy effect and polystyrene for the outcrops. Covered it with 3-4 layers of grout/cement and coated it with PVA then added Exo Terra red desert sand.

what did you use to glue the polystyrene onto the wall? I'm just starting to attempt a birrova monster fake wall. I've got a glue gun and PVA glue.. either of those ok for the job?

I built it up from a polystyrene sheet 48x18x4" so i could be removed if needed for cleaning and repair. I cut a small section out at both ends so i could slot it into the back of the viv. The outcrops were kept in place with small pieces of wood that i had poked through them while the glue(PVA and no more nails) set. Any strong glue would probably do the job but if you want to bring it out as i have done then the small pieces of wood will offer additional support.

cheers GJ, i've also got No More Nails and Asda's version of it so i should be able to get it to stick.
Now all i need is for this idea in my head to turn out as good as i visualise it - which is going to be a pretty hard job i think !!!
