Ok dont laugh theres not a whole lot in it yet but ive sold my adult royal and am now keeping green trees only.
My ambition is to start breeding these snakes and one day be able to offer genuine captive bred and born, well started babies.
Locale types and maybe a few designers along the way too.

This is only the beginning Very Happy

we all have to start somewhere. I use an identical set up for my smaller chondros. you might want to consider using a heat guard on those rep. radiators though (they are radiators aren't they).

My chondro eggs are due to hatch in 2 weeks so let me know if you're ready to add a third snake to your collection ;o)

I'd be interested too, what do you have due?

Also, keeping GTPs in realloy useful boxes, interesting idea. You find it ok keeping the heat in them?

Hi

I've never had a problem with the really usefuls not holding heat. I use the 84L size and turn it on its side so that the top becomes the front (just like you can see in arborealad's picture). I heat each tub using a 75w habistat reptile radiator (with heat guard) and use a pulse prop thermostat to regulate the temp. with a hot end of about 87-88 and cool end is about 80.

All you have to do with the tub is a bit of experimenting with a drill to get the right amount of ventilation. The internal measurements of the 84L tub are about 24"x15"x15" (LxWxH) so I think that's an ideal size for animals that have outgrown the smaller hatchling size tubs but aren't yet big enough to go into an adult sized enclosure.

With regards to my babies, they are due to hatch in about 2 weeks and should be ready for new homes in late July once they've had at least 8 meals and 2 sheds. They are a cross between biak and jayapura. I'll be asking £325-£350 each which I think is pretty reasonable for true UK CB chondros.

cheers

Stuart

I have a mixture of home made wooden vivs and custom made acrylic vivs that are similar in design to the ones you can see on Tony Nicoli's website

www.boas.net

cheers

they are clear.

they lock closed.

The radiators look pretty big in comparison to box size. I suppose you can still get a good gradient with them then? Any chances to see whats inside the boxes (although they are semi clear, cant see inside the far box Very Happy

here you go davo just for you. behind door number one is the biak. Wicked colouring at the moment but also the temperment to go with it Smile

The radiators cover just about a third of the roof so maintaining a gradient is easy.
