ok, i set up my royal in a contico box with heat mat and smaller hides

seems a bit more secure in there now and the humidity is higher.

tried to feed it last night and kept striking out at the mouse from its hide. then it would stare at it for quite a while in front of the mouse head. then just slithered over it and went back in its hide.

place the mouse in front of the hide overnight and it hasn't ate.

so while it was in the exo terra hides i used to have id never see it strike at its prey before so i guess this can be seen as a positive.

any ideas why it is not eating, maybe its still afraid?

leave for a couple of days and try again, remember to be slow and gentle.
If it does not grab and eat leave again part in hide over night.
Make sure food is hot.
