I see what your saying but your much better off finding the root cause of the problem and treating it than using wax worms to paper over the cracks. If they go off their food its usually for a reason, getting them eating 'sweets' doesnt solve that problem.

Just an update i have already fully stated i am taking him to the vets asap i have an appointment next week. And in regards to the waxworms they were very useful since the first time i tried him with the cut up waxworms with success he has been gobbling black crickets and had the odd mealworm and 1 waxworm every second night but the main body of what he is eating is crickets. I understand your point , but understand mine i was using the waxworms to get him interested in actually eating he had no energy and was not getting any calcium as he wasn't interested in his little calcium tub now he is becoming more energetic he is coming out of his hides at night looking for food so he obviously feels a bit better but in no way does this mean i am going to forget the fact he could have parasites and is why i am still going to the vets. But thank you for your concerns and help they all contributed Smile

Glad he is eating Gemma, animals like people get out of the habit of plain old eating at times, and a tasty treat does i agree get their juices flowing again, giving them the reminder that food is good for them, like people no one animal is the same, hope he continues and thrives for you well done Very Happy

Thanks Karen I'm overjoyed he is eating just need to rule out any other factors to him going off food and then can really concentrate on building him up to be a big chunky healthy boy Very Happy

I shouldn't think it would be parasites if he's eating again, doesn't matter what you offer if they have them.
