I'm currently keeping 1.1 Varanus tristis orientalis and will soon get a trio of red ackies.
Also my better half is going on about them quails, so my question here is; would quail eggs be suitable as food for the monitors? Not on a regular basis of course.

And one more thing. When I was checking up on the monitors now, the male was trying to mate with the female, as he has tried on several occasions now. But the female seems reluctant to accept him. After a little while she backs of and walks away. She has been in the nesting box a couple of times.

I've had monitors before but never bred them, so I'm kinda new to the breeding part. Is this normal or is it possible that she wont breed this year?
