Well went to check on my breeding pair of royals and he was at the other end and I could see an obvious swell in my female. Its not that obvious in the pics but she has gone very round in shape even round the belly scale area. Could it be the start of an ovulation???

possibly not ovulation but follicle building? Keep an eye on her she may well swell.

she ate about 10 days ago! and that was a small rat! And she is 2000g! As people have said I think she is still building because I left the male in just to really get her going and he was back locked again this mornng!

'Tail suck' is a good indication of ovulation. It looks like the tail - from the vent down - has been deflated.

if it were me i'd be skipping around and starting to count the days down by how shes looking, my girl last year looked exactly the same and then i got eggs eventually.

so in 2 weeks roughly she should shed and then 4 weeks after that she should lay right?
