One of my female leopard geckos who is gravid for the first time has, over the last few days, become very lethargic and can't really be bothered to catch crickets. Granted, she will take a cricket but only if it is right under her nose.
Any suggestions or is this normal with gravid females?
Thanks

I wasn't even planning on breeding them this year, my male is only about 7 months old and 27g so thought he'd need more time.
I'll just have to watch and make sure she is feeding.

As they get weighed down by the eggs, females become understandably more 'lazy'. Also, as the eggs develop and grow, the girl can start to run out of room inside her skin for 2 eggs plus a bellyload of food, so a week/days before the due day she might stop eating altogether.
Mind you, not many leos can say no to a waxie! You dont want to force/encourage her to eat more than she is comfortable with though.
That is quite a young & small male. How old/heavy is the female? _________________

Good advice, has been the same with my females for the last 3 years.

She ate a couple this evening, tho she has heavy eyes - looks tired! She's about 6 years old and weighed just shy of 60g 2 weeks ago. Thing is, she never over eats always been slightly lazy!
