Uroplatus phantasticus(satanic leaf tailed gecko)
anybody keep these?
I very interested in these facinating creatures.
How are they best kept (enclosure)
Are there alot about in the UK?
How much would I expect to pay for them?
Thanks

anybody keep these? Not many, probably less than a handfull of people with sexed pairs in the UK
I very interested in these facinating creatures.
How are they best kept (enclosure) Cool and well vented from what I know but that's NOT based on actual experiance
Are there alot about in the UK? as first question
How much would I expect to pay for them? No idea now, but I doubt less than £100 each and even that to me is cheap _________________

I guessed they would be at least £100,
Have you ever seen any Scott?
Do they often have them at Hamm?
If I was too get them I would probely go with getting a few unsexed juvies!

I think you would be very lucky to find a pair even at Hamm. _________________ www.Reptilebreeder.co.uk

Do you not think there will be anyone that has got them or breeds them or can get hold of a few?
Are they the least common leaf tail? _________________ Regards, Paul.

I bought a pair about a year ago, cost me around 100 pounds (for the pair that is). But I think I was lucky there .
They seem to be doing well in a cool, heavily planted viv with lots of small branches, room temps, no additional heat, just fluorescents to keep the plants happy. I mostly spray daily, but will skip the occasional day.
Very cool little gecko's. Haven't been able to find some more unfortunately I'd buy another pair or two if I could. |
