chinese quail are great little birds aswell. May be a stupid question, but i know there are a couple of egg eating species, are the reds and blacks the same, or just a locality thing? I'm personally a fan of the black, but your little new one looks nice all the same. Sorry about the mum, she was a beauty. |

Both of these are D.atra so yes the same species, as for locales i coudlnt tell you. All the babies look like they are gonna be red which is a little bit of a shame but im just glad they are hatching yea the mum was a stunner such a shame, oh well my hunt for a black D.atra starts
