Has anyone come across this at all before?

I found this in my female cumingis water bowl this morning- most peculiar indeed.

She last laid eggs on August 10th, all were infertile, since that time she has not been mated at all.

As you can see the egg that I found is very small - it is photographed on a regular size piece of kitchen towel - the forceps are 4".

I find it very very bizarre that she has passed this - she is incredibly healthy etc etc ...

If anyone can shed light i'd be grateful.

thanks

carl

That looks like an egg that's been consumed and defecated out.

I'm with Sean on this one. That's how monitor eggs look when they've passed through the gut of a monitor.
