m a bit worried about Dante atm again Over the past month or so shes had eating problems.
heres her history..
At the petshop she was fed crix and ate like a pig for a few weeks until I decided to try her on locusts. Then after a few weeks I found blood in her poop and put it down to the locust legs gave her a little cut inside. I didnt giv her any locusts for a while and tried to give her crix again but she just wasnt interested in them. So worried that she wouldnt eat anything I tried her on mealworms, she ate happily on them for about 2 weeks then her appetite dwindled possibly bought on by the cold. Over the past couple of weeks when it been at its coldest her appetite hasnt picked up and is just eating about 3 mealworms but the freshly shed ones so that they were soft. I bought cutworms and silkworms from the internet and recieved the cutworms and she usually ate from 1-3 a day.
She been given veggies like water cress, normal cress, savoy cabbage, kale, hearts of romaine luttice, cos luttice, celery, rocket and spinach. Could any of these be upsetting her??
She has UVB tube10.0% which was replaced in november. Shes on repticarpet and is about 6-7 inches long.
Her basking temp is 104 degrees farenheit and cool end is low 80s. She is really friendly and to to be honest Ive spoilt her I think cus if she turned her nose up at something i just tried her with something else, could she have learnt that if she refuses food ill just giv her her another food item
When i first got her she ate about 8 crix a day and now she eats 3mealies a day.
She doesnt look too thin and shes quite active and basking still.
Could this be just her maturing and maybe goin through a growth spurt and appetite is going off or partial brumation or something else?? _________________ Dante (rankins dragon)

Theres your first problem BDs love them and to be honest, their a great food. If your worried about the hind legs you could just cut them off with scissors.

Its quite normal for some BDs to be faddy eaters.

8 crickets sounds really low anyway, but have you tried feeding every other day (this only applies to adults) to encorage feeding responce?

So why the panic? Always work on the grounds that if they're well in themselves there isnt much to worry about.

When I first got her she was pooing everyday and it was a fair size poop and no it didnt smell tooo bad. When I first got her she was about 5inches long
Then after a couple of weeks i tried her with locusts and then a week late I found blood in her poop so i took her off the locusts. Then mealworms was her diet and poops got less frequent and apetite dwindled and temps got harder to keep consistent and was a little lower than usual
Now she poops VERY small poops about twice the size of a grain of rice. And not much is going into her. Im gunna get some avipro plus to help her gut flora along and help get her appetite back
I was told to up her temps and shes become more active cus of it. Should i cool it down agen? _________________ Dante (rankins dragon)

Hya everyone
I wormed Dante yesterday and she hated it and OMG I feel evil cus she squirms and tries to push me away with her hands. I love her so much and im so frightened that im gunna hurt her cus she squirms so much. shes had 2 treatments so far and I have to do it for 5 consecutive days but I really hate doing it cus she gets so stressed about it and shes discusted with me for a little while and cant even look at me. My grammer is apauling.soz
Would it be absolutely essencial to carry on doing the worming or the next 3 days?
Over the past week her eating is okish and a little better. Im giving her baths everynight with a bit of avipro plus added and im gunna get her some hydro life on thursday to boost her electrolites. I caught her hiding twice over the past 2 weeks when ive got home from work is this normal? _________________ Dante (rankins dragon)

try feeding her some more locusts shes proberly missing them and being fussy your could pull the legs of them or try fedding her the larger ones so she has to chew them up a bit more if she had worms i would of thought she would be hungry all the time and not putting any weight on you would allso see them in her pooh if you give her a warm bath and she pooh`s have a good look to see if you can see anything wriggling
i think shes just being picky |

Ok I carried on the worming. It wasnt prescribed by a vet but its a wormer made by Beaphar which is anew product out. And this morning I see a little worm about 4mm long and it was pink but later turned a browny colour (im presuming it died hence the brown colour). Shes been alright in herself but today especially and yesterday she was a bit down and didnt want to do much. Im presuming her belly hurts a lil cus the worms are being sorted out. I wormed her today and its the end of a 5day course. Shes changed colour a little bit cus this morning she was a bit dark but now shes a bit lighter in colour, is this normal or could it just be me?
Ive been told that the wormers take a couple of days to start working hence seeing the worm today and hopefully ill see more tomorrow and hopefully her guts ll be cleaned out. She ate 2 mealworms today and I cut their heads off too.
Fingers crossed shell pick upxxx _________________ Dante (rankins dragon)
