Age does not really matter as long as the beardie is a good weight over 400 grams is good.
They can breed as young as 8 months, but 18 months is better.
They can also produce 3 to 4 clutches a year

You do not have to cool Bearded Dragons, they seem to do this themselves by cutting down on their food and resting more.
We do cut the periodic time down from 12 to 8 hours.
Mating can occur as early as January, and onto September..
producing 1 to 4 clutches or more in some cases.

I have just had the first clutch of eggs from a group of beardies aged just over 7 months (hatched 22 Jan 04). The females produced 22, 14 & 19 eggs. The weight after laying was between 174g and 222g. The females have already put good weight on after laying. |
