Oh a good few months back now, must have been roughly July August time or there abouts maybe even April May. I have it written down somewhere, I can not rely upon my memory _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

Since putting in the 3d cork bark background; its top notch stuff and about 20mm thick, (swine to cut), Simon loves it and will clamber all over it, he even leaps from the cork bark to the various branches. It increases the available space for him to use within the viv. Hidden at the back of the viv Ina corner is a large cork bark tube with a nice tiny hollow running through it. Simon sleeps within the hollow, I would imagine it makes him feel safe and secure.
He is timid and you need to be still and watch him for a while so that you can observe his behaviours. He has moments of excitement and will leap about and seems to be quite happy and not stressed when doing this.
I have a large water container in the bottom of the viv, to help with humidity and to provide drinking water, every now and then Simon will fully submerge himself in the water container and have a swim!
Irrespective of when the light comes on, or goes off, makes no odds to Simon he will go to sleep in his cork bark tube when he is ready to and will emerge, again when he is ready to. A very majestic monitor. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk
