although the cage is pretty and appealing to us humans, the lizard is unable to build a home. monitors need deep substrate so they can burrow. they primarily live underground and only come out for purposes of sunning eating and breeding. hiding, thermoregulating, and sleeping is all done in the safety of their homes... or burrows. just a thought. cheers

whut its eating is a migratory locust and the sand corbo mix is going out iam going to get more substrate soon cuz i agree they love to dig
