My first snake was a Kenyan sand boa which I got last September (04). Lizards are my main love in the hobby so it was a while before I got a reptile with no legs. _________________ Best wishes, Jackie

My first was a garter of some description when I was twelve or so. I still regret the death of that snake, as it could have been prevented by either more research on my part or more truthful sales chatter from the pet shop I bought 'her' from - no, a regular desk lamp outside the tank does not provide enough heat for a snake to digest.
That doesn't count the bull snake my dad brought home from work one day when I was around six or so - he was released into the garden and promptly set up house in the next-door-neighbor's brush pile. _________________ - Ssthisto
