John.ev
That was the first thing that came to mind, i left him several days with out food and he still only ate a single freshly moulted roach.
MJ
I was thinking the same thing, Its just got me a little baffled that other people have managed to raise odatria(Ackies in particular) solely on crickets and small rodents in the past. Some days i throw in crickets, lobsters and dubia in all at once and he still shows very little interest.
I will try some locusts and i will switch the livefood around more frequently. |

Maybe you need to check your husbandry, temps, humidity and so on _________________ Good luck |

I don't think that is the problem, the viv was tried and tested well in advance using temp gun and digital thermometer/hydrometer.
130-150f basking spot
78-90f ambient
60-70% humidity
6 inches of topsoil/playsand mix
I have an ackie stacks at both ends of the viv with various bits & pieces in between for cover. |

When I first bought mine he was getting mice as a staple.
On top of that he'd get chicken, mince, fish, eggs, prawns etc (basicly a little bit of what ever we were eating that night )
Also locusts and giant mealworms
Now he's adult he gets the same but he only gets fed meat twice/three times a week, locusts are avalible at all times. |
