Hey, so I'm getting 2 baby crested geckos next week, just looking for some information. Can a tank be too big for babies? I was thinking of buying a large exo terra tank, either the 60x45x45 tank or even the 60x45x60, but would they not like it because its too big, and also which one would be best for 2 full grown crested geckos, would the smaller one of those 2 still be sufficient, or is it bigger the better? Should I keep them in a small plastic tank until they are bigger? What real plants would be best to plant in the tank, if any, or should I stick to fake? And lastly, any other tips etc would be gratefully received.

So I've figured out a smaller plastic tank will be fine for now (ease of finding food etc), is it fine for 2 geckos to be kept in a larger one separately, and at what age should I move them into the bigger tank, and what size out of the 2 above would you recommend for a pair of fully grown crested geckos?

as long as the are not two males then you could keep them together .

i have three female in a 60x60x45 exo terra tank .

i have not had any problems with them finding food ect as they are ppretty active during the night . exploring the whole viv .

you could if you wanted house them in a smaller one till they get bigger .

they eat mashed fruit and CGD so as long as they can find the dish then they should be ok .

i have some bark , and mopani wood in my viv . i had a plant in as well but it didnt do too well . not enough light for it i think .

i also have some kitchen roll attatched to string and suckers going across the viv , they love to sleep in them during the day . just wrap some fake plants round the string to make it a bit more realistic

not in the house at the moment . .

but get two suckers, a length of string just bigger than the width of the viv and a kitchen roll . .

poke two holes into each end of the kitchen roll and push through the string . .

tie the string to the suckers or hang if the suckers have hooks . .

make sure you have the length ok and then tie silk plants to one end and then wrap around the string to the other side .

not sure if ive explained properly but it should hang like a hammock across the viv .

ill try to get pics later . mind and change them regular though as the dont mind doing the toilet in them .

That is a good idea! I'm sure it's easier than fighting with jungle vine to get it into the viv. Smile
