Hello all I am looking for information varanus glauerti like price and how to set up there viv and are they cheaper in Europe. than they are here in the UK

prices would be similar, UK price is about £350, although being that not as many are being bred again, I would guess it could go back up (although perhaps not to £700 from 3 years ago)

i have been looking on the net on how to keep them but there doesn't seem to be a lot of info on keeping varanus glauerti like Viv set up / feeding / and temps / am i looking on the wrong sits

i did see a few for sale in hamm in december some young ones which i didnt get a price for and an adult pair that when i asked the vendor the price i about fell over 4000 euro i thought he was joking at first

does anyone have any incubation info to share ??how long time after copylating does the the female lays , what substrate do you use and do you use a dry or wet incubator?? for how long did the eggs incubate?? how do you sex them?? what kind of nest box do you use??
hope someone can answer some of the questions..
does anyone know who i should contact to get a pair of v.reisingeri?? bin looking for them for years know:(

I use a dry incubator, use perlite mixed 1:1 with water and add more if required during incubation, usually take about 120 days to hatch, incubated at 27.8 c, Almost impossible to sex until adult size by comparing head shape, spurs behavior, I myself don't use a nest box instead I use troughs which measure 4ft by 3ft deep this allows the female to choose the perfect spot to lay the eggs within the Viv, only problem is finding the eggs once deposited but there's drawbacks to every method
I guess, seems to be working ok for me though, hope that helps a bit
