The raised white scales and eye colour may give it away.
It also has a black/dark blue tongue with white tips. |

You are the man Karl.
Can't tell you how pi$$ed i was, when after 2 weeks she started to change.
Completed her colour change in 10 days!!!.
The male started to go,so i put a low uvb tube in and touch wood he has halted.
Although he is not bright yellow anymore,he is certainly not as green as her. |

Thats a shame, I've never heard of the UV tube method. Does it work usually or was it just a last ditch attempt? Lovely snake anyway mate |

Karl
Great Kafiau.
Stuart
I don,t think they will all change. There is something that you have too get right, maybe the same way that albino leopard geckos gain darker pigments if the temps are too low.
I have attached some pictures taken tonight.
The male had 4 days of colour change before the light went in,he stoped immediately and has not gained any green for 5 months.
Steve C can testify how yellow these were when they arrived.
One thing is for sure,is once they start they go quick, not the usual 6/18months to gain adult colours. |

Thanks for the reply Taben..stunning snakes none the less and certainly very interesting..do you think this will have any reflection in the price of them in the future if more of them do start to go green? |

The price has crashed in the states.
You can pick them up for $700-$1500.00 now,and what they call dirty birds are even less.
Here is a pic of male next to female.
Its not that long ago they were $10,000.00 a pair |
