I have been offered some snakes from a person in cameroon called Ice Ayori. His e-mail address is ngosfoundation@yahoo.com. Does anyone know if he is genuine and won't steal my money |

May be genuine but I wouldn't take the risk of getting anything from anyone in Cameroon or Nigeria through the internet. |

There are literally hundreds of Nigerian scams, so much that there is a forum for dealing with them. Most of them are the type of "I am Lawyer so-and-so and you have been chosen as benificiery of the late so-and-so's estate".
It might be worth you posting on that forum and see if anyone else has had a similar e-mail.
Here is the web address:

If it is a scam, it is definitely a new twist on the above or the Lottery scam. _________________ 3 Royal Pythons - Byron, Bobby & Rosie

If he's willing to ship to you AND then you pay after opening the boxes and checking the animals, then it may be worth considering other than that you would have more fun taking your money outside and setting light to it... _________________

My instincts say he is NOT genuine. I've had them before from people wanting to ship wild Crested geckos out from Nigeria. _________________ Best wishes, Jackie

Best places to get a huge variety of snakes are the snake shows. I found the prices to be reasonable and you can meet the breeders. There are also many good, reputable shops around too. Much safer than possibly losing your hard-earned cash in what is probably a scam. Another point to consider is that importing a snake from Cameroon/Nigeria is that they are probably wild-caught and could be carrying disease and parasites. Most snakes in this country are captive born and bred so you are less likely to get any major problems with them. They have usually been handled since birth so settle down quicker.
Frankly, I wouldn't touch that offer with a ten foot bargepole! _________________ 3 Royal Pythons - Byron, Bobby & Rosie

And even if he was 'genuine' you'd be risking the lives of the livestock as they'd probably arrive dead. Best left alone methinks |
