Some females go of food around this time of year aswell. I wouldn't worry about him if he's not losing weight and he's not acting different.

I get mine out in the morning and feed late at night so they have a good 12-16hrs to sit and thaw fully because i don't trust water when i'm doing it i'll either boil the mouse (yup i've done the split guts before - not nice) or it won't be defrosted so a good long leave out but covered works for me nicely.

my albino royal (male) wouldnt eat for 7 months, so dont panic just yet.

Ive started defrosting mice in cold water out the tap for about 20 minutes or so. Then i add warm water, but not too hot that i cant hold my fingers in and leave that for 2 - 3 minutes.
I give the mouse a gentle squeeze to shed some of the water but do offer the mouse to my albino wet.

Works everytime now, after 7 months of pulling my hair out.

Just my own opion and what i do.

Hope it helps in some way.
