I am chuffed one of my Fire Salamanders (Bernadezii ) gave birth this morning, a wee mini replica of the adults well almost. Mum sal stood up in the corner of the tank, her lower end in the water and woop woo wee sal popped out.
Look as though mum sal has more to give birth to yet!
You can see how big she is in the pics. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

They are a superb speices to keep, striking colours and patterns and if you get the set up right and most importantly a nice cool temperature they do well. They can however be fussy eaters and prone to infections and ill health at times.
Out of the various species that I have kept, I have found the Tiger Barred Salamanders to be almost bullet proof. Overall they are, in my opinion, also one of the best to keep in terms of charecter. These are only my experiences though. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk
