dont think much could be done to be honest ...
unless there are 100s of them escaped then they will die off as its too cold for them .
the council could get involved but unless you werent taking steps to stop it theres not much they will do _________________ Eyeless frogs welcome...

The best thing to do is to pepper the floor of your reptile room with sticky cockroach traps and deny all knowledge if any get through that!
Cheers,
Mark. |

My paranoia about loose crickets is well known to everyone.I had loads loose and a huge one made its way into next doors garden. For control indoors I buy cockroach traps- very similar to the cricket ones but bigger, far more Industrial sized. While I was waiting for them to arrive I made some traps using a very sticky tape- gaffer tape, sticky side up and baited it with a Yeast Vite tablet- it caught loads. I also have double sided tape running around the base of everyskirting board in my Rep room. I am toying with the idea of a plug in insect killer but will have to move the inverts out of the room first.
If your neighbours dont know you keep Reps then keep stumm as we do have crickets in the wild here in the UK.I was worried sick about the one next door- terrified it would get into their house- so much so I went looking for it at all hours of the day and night. Try not to worry too much invest in some good sticky traps, I think we lose most of the crix when they get out of the reps vivs-more so than them escaping from whatever we keep them in. Try not to worry too much, love Jan
PS I doubt very much if their finding 1 crix will get your reps taken away, so please dont worry about that. |

My neighbour complained of one in her kitchen during the summer. I apologised profusely and put more traps down, and she hasn't said anything since. |

I bought a load of roach traps and tubes of poison in the States and had it shipped over here. At that time it worked out cheaper than buying the same items in the UK.
Cooler temps should rapidly kill them off though. If was like the African Savannah round here in the Summer, now all you can hear are the local kids breaking into cars !!!! |
