a member on rfc has asked why their female cresty would be digging in the soil frequently, i suggested she may be about to produce eggs, but apparently its a young cresty, only 22g in weight and has never been near a male. Any ideas, she digs down head first, showing only her tail? Any help on this would Im sure be appreciated by the young man in question

eggs would still be my first guess, failing that either too hot or too dry or even lack of other suitable cover.

Females don't have to have been mated to lay eggs. Virgin females can lay eggs, though obviously they are infertile. However, given how small she is and that she hasn't been with a male I would say it more likely to be husbandry problems (not enough cover, humidity etc). Does he have a photo of the set up Angi?
