i've now got him.... i'm working on rehydrating him, and he took 2 fat crickets yesterday.

Good luck with him, and your intention is obviously good.
You really should quarantine animals of dubious origin though, it`s a hell of a risk for the rest of your collection otherwise. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

Just wanted to let you all know that Charlie is doing well, eating tons of crickets and occasional waxys to fatten him up a bit.
Quixotic, glad to hear the other little guy has found someone with the skills to take care of him/her, hope he/she picks up soon. _________________ 1.0.0 Eublepharis Macularis (albino)

TBH I would say it is a MUST to quarantine all animals that come through your door - nevermind the ones that are visibly ill!!!! |

Totally agree. I have on occassion had animals from good freinds that I know the history of almost like it was my animal originally. At such times I haven`t bothered I must admit. (Just being honest).
A policy of quarantining every animal full stop that comes through the door is a very good one however, and becomes more important the larger the collection that is being added to. In cases such as the obviously sick animal featured in this thread, flashing red danger signs do go off in the mind. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

hey... sorry guys, been away for a while..
did not mean i had him in the same viv...
we have all the gecko vivs together.. and the gecko ones are mostly at his house...
he IS in quarantine... and we are planning a trip to the vets, along with another skinny gecko we took in last week.
just to get them checked over...
he seems to be doing better. he is now feeding by himself, not as much as i would like him to be eating, but it is a start. _________________

Fantastic news - a slow introduction to eating is probably a good thing, so I wouldn't worry!!
Keep us updated, and I wish you the very best of luck! |
