Razz ...Hello to all! i have a question on Hibernation, i live in Tenerife and have a Testudo Gracia that i suspect is from Morocco, he,s 13cms long,he lives outside as the temperatures here are high, ive had him since aprill.
I also have a Russian Tortoise that i bought last weekend from petshop here, my question is - will they want to Hibernate?¿? the temps here rarely fall below 65 in the depth of winter. The Horsfield is small - only 7cms along the Plastron - any idea how old she is?¿?
Any and all information is welcome - pet shop owners here have no idea! Wink

Razz ...After Googling this subject til my eyes bled, i now know that some Testudos in Morocco dont hibernate as the temp never falls low enough, so ive Decided to Overwinter ,em in my spare room where the Temp rarely falls bellow 80 even in winter. That Leopard Tortoise in the shop near me is starting to Look Good............ Wink

You don't have to hibernate them at all, my friend has one who is very healthy and doesn't get hibernated, the guy in my local shop doesn't hibernate his
