After exactly 24 weeks (5 & 1/2 months!), my first ackie eggs have started to hatch. I almost gave up on them as the average incubation time from other breeders seemed to be around 100 days, mine was 168 days! (just goes to show...never say never! ) _________________

to be honest I nearly cut one open a few days ago but thought "what the hell, I've waited this long I might as well carry on waiting!" _________________

about 27c, was hotter for the first few months (about 30c), then I dropped down to the 27c for the last 3 months. _________________

mine were at 31 for the entire time hence the shorter incubation time for me |
