I still feel hatchlings/youngsters do better in smaller vivs. We shall agree to disagree. Wink

Jackie, can I ask your logic behind that theory? Very Happy

I can somewhat agree, smaller space area obviously they are more likely to catch the crickets, but as most of us use CGD it doesn't come into play as much, i guess it's for peace of mind in most cases. Cool

In a smaller set-up it's easier for them to catch/find their food which in turn means I can monitor their growing more closely. If one is struggling to find food I can spot it sooner rather than later (if you understand what I mean).

All I can say is that this method works very well for me, and I know housing them in bigger cages works just as well for you, Scott. Granted I breed on a much smaller scale than you so perhaps if I did breed on a larger scale my opinion would change. I have the time and space to house them all individually in smaller set-ups. It's what works best for you at the end of the day.

I don't feed CGD exclusively so perhaps that does come into play with my logic.

Bunny - great news he's feeding. Keep us posted on how he progresses. Very Happy

i mix the CGD with my own babyfood mix
i found they eat it better that way
if i use nutrabol they will not touch it plus it turns it all a funny colour
CGD on its own ia not taken eather
i recon you have to figure out what your cresties like or how they like it
it works well for me and mine r growing fine
i make my CGD it a 1 to 1 mixture and then add the babyfood mix
