Got to admit I first thought 'mats' but it just seemed strange that I could still feel it even after pulling the trays right out so they weren't even over the heat pads.

If they can do it with ceramics maybe it's something to do with the electricity?

I know mine don't under ceramics - and it's not a python egg heating thing as the corns do it when they're on heatmats!

I dont suppose it could be a stat sending vibes through the rack / viv?

I know when my stats reach the correct temp they can buzz a little as they hold the temps!

Don't think so - my case was when the stat was hooked up far from the viv - only wires connecting.

The adult royals at the shop do it - the female more.
I spent hours switching off every switch, singly and in combinations, in the room (and there are a lot!) trying to figure it out...

Yeah strangely it's more our oldest female i feel it in, must be something they do. I know they can increase the temperature of their body by a couple degree's F if they are feeding.. maybe this is how it's done?
