I'm thinking of getting a beardie and was just wondering how you feed crickets to them? I really don't like things like them, so there's no way I want to be touching them, and also what do you keep them in, and can they escape easily if the beardie doesn't eat them all?

And the stuff like, Exo Terra Dragon Food I think it is? Is that any good? If so, how much and how often should you use it?

Thanks!

well touching crix is part of the deal when you buy a beardie mate. on the dry food score i have tried mine on the stuff from hachlings but only a few would take to it.

Oh, just something else, do Rankins eat the same things as beardies? And is there anything different in the care they need? I can't seem to find much about them Sad

You can buy something called 'Lee's Kricket Keeper' It's a ventalated tub which has tubes in, the crix climb up the tubes, you can just take the tubes out and shake them into the viv.

Or get yourself a long pair of tweezers, always handy.

Crix can escape, but you do get use to it lol Laughing

YOu porbs won't need tongs: to be honest, once you've handled them a few times, they're fine, just grab their leg joints and they can't bite you.

If one is making a runner, just quickly put your hand over it gently.

Crickets are no big hassle. Smile
