Here are some pics as promised of my Peruphasma schultei ( Phasmid ) .
Not the best but thought I'd take some when I cleaned them out . They are taken on white kitchen paper just to show how stunning the colours of these are .
Hope you like !
And one to show their speed !

All these pics are of the adult male .
The female looks ready for her final moult so I didn't want to disturb her . _________________ -Oli-H- |

Good man. Where are they from? What conditions do they suit temperature, humidity and ventilation wise? _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

They originate from Peru .
They seem really easy to keep and like pretty dry conditions . Humidity at about 50% I foudn but they can deal with slight irregularities . I keep mine at about 20˚C , they prefer it cooler .
They have the red micro-wings and can't fly .
Although once I had handled them I began to sneeze and after looking in to it I found that they have the ability to spray a fluid from the glands just behind their head ! ( Prothoracic glands , I think ?! ) .
But that's about it I think ! _________________ -Oli-H- |

Heard worse .
There's someone who sells phasmids and decides to make up random common names for them .
Before she's had -
- Giant Green Twig Stick Insect
- Peruvian Fire Flame Stick Insect
and she calls these , Black Beauty Stick Insects ! _________________ -Oli-H- |
